I’ve always loved unicorns, starting with my obsession with Lisa Frank as a child. In the past few years they have made a huge comeback. Designers like Alexander McQueen, Kate Spade, Valentino, and Jeremy Scott have featured unicorns in their collections and in their runway shows. Clothing companies such as, ASOS, Dolls Kill, Topshop, and H&M have drawn off the inspiration and currently feature whimsical merchandise in their store or online boutique. I’ve scoured the Internet to find the best high end, to inexpensive unicorn inspired clothing and accessories that will make you reminisce on your childhood. January…the month when you’re torn between hibernating and keeping your New Year’s Resolutions (gym goals, volunteer, learn something new, take up yoga, wake up earlier, etc.) When half of the United States has temperatures 30 degrees and below, here are some things to get you through, and help you stay on track to make 2017 your best year yet. Bella Freud Parfum Candle, $70. In the cold months of January a lot of New Yorkers long for a vacation to somewhere sunny, I on the other hand love New York in the blistering cold (maybe because I don’t actually live there). This candle makes me feelRead More →

December in NYC

There’s no place like New York City, especially around the holidays. My boyfriend and I went for my Birthday (December 23rd), and Christmas Eve. There was so much to do and see, so we choose the top holiday spots, along with my some of my favorites. December 22, 2016 – Park Central Hotel We stayed at the Park Central Hotel in a premier room located in Midtown. It was convenient because it was three blocks from Central Park, about a half mile from Times Square, and located right between the upper east side and the upper west side. Times Square I’ve been to Times Square manyRead More →

Growing up on the east coast and spending every Christmas there, I couldn’t imagine being in a warm climate for the holidays. I need a few perfect 25-degree days with lots of snow. (Then I hurry on back to Los Angeles, and hope the winter here (aka rain) is short.) I do spend the first part of December in LA, and I started celebrating as soon as finished my Thanksgiving dinner. December flies by and before you know it, we’re thinking about all the food we ate, and alcoholic beverages we consumed come January 1st, so lets try to fit in as muchRead More →

I found this Spicy Avocado Sandwich recipe on The Coveteaur, and my boyfriend and I decided to make it. You really can’t go wrong with eggs and Avocado–perfect day or night.  Also, if your having friends over for Sunday brunch, it’s easy to make and would go great with Mimosas. We substituted the bacon for turkey bacon to make it a little bit healthier, and sometimes we’ll use croissants fresh from the bakery instead of ciabatta. Ingredients: – 2 tbsp mayonnaise – 1-2 tsp chalula (more or less depending on taste) – 1/2 avocado, sliced – 5-7 pieces aged gruyere, sliced – 3-5 slices of bacon, fried – 2Read More →

Just a few years ago, a lot of people would consider sneakers to be a part of their workout attire, or what they’d wear to run errands in on a lazy Sunday. Labels like Adidas and Puma, that were big in the ‘80s and ‘90s are back. Now new designers are emerging and capitalizing in on the trend. Not long ago, sneakers wouldn’t have been seen in most office settings, now in many they’re considered acceptable work attire—if worn correctly. They’ve been seen at NYFW, on the red carpet, and on trendsetters and celebrities as everyday wear. Here are some examples of how to look polished, andRead More →

In December like millions of others, I’ll be flying back home for the holidays. Take it from someone who’s had her fair share of flight drama, like a flight delayed overnight, canceled because of bad weather, luggage lost twice (one of the times it took four days to receive!), and lost my license the day before flying…that I’ve learned what and what not to pack in my carry on bag. A good book.  The Girls, $16.20 Makeup bag / samples. Usually when I buy makeup, they give free samples. I save those and pack them in my carry on. I think it all started with my love for the movie Marie Antoinette. The scene where she’s eating all the desserts, made me want cake, éclairs and macaroons ASAP. I had heard of Bottega Louie, and one day I was walking out of the apartment I had just moved into, and saw it was a few blocks down the street and decided to walk in. OMG…I became obsessed! It takes a lot of self-control to not walk in every time I pass by and order one of their desserts or buy a box of macaroons. Last year I bought my sister and my mom aRead More →
