What I Loved in November, 2020: skateboarding through the Shoreline Bike Path

This month Gina will be sharing her monthly must-haves! A collection of things I loved in November, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. This month I loved night skateboarding through the Shoreline Bike Path in Long Beach. The weather has cooled down and the glowing lights of downtown that highlight this trail truly make it feel like the holidays. I’m also obsessed with my cute rose and white gold penny board, as it’s really easy to use for beginner skaters like myself. Riding through the crisp air gives me a relaxing and happy feeling. With all the stresses going onRead More →

What I Loved in October, 2020: Autumn Foliage

A collection of things I loved in October, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. I decided to move back to the East Coast for many reasons, but one of the biggest was that I missed the four seasons. The last time I got to experience autumn and the leaves changing colors was in 2010 before I moved to Los Angeles. Because I grew up around it, and witnessed it every year, it was never a big deal to me. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I actually started to miss it. The other day Billy and I wereRead More →

What I Loved in September, 2020: NYC sunsets

A collection of things I loved in September, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. Sure, the streets of New York City look a lot different than they did pre-Covid, but spending a few days here (in couldn’t-ask-for-better- weather) has been a completely different experience. Billy and I have been able to get around the city a lot easier since it’s less crowded than what we’re used to.  Whenever I’m vacationing in the city I make a point of stopping in my favorite candy store, Sugarfina. (I love their colorful confections so much, I created a V-Day charcuterie board a fewRead More →

What I Loved in August, 2020

A collection of things I loved in August, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. I kept seeing these gorgeous candles all over Instagram and knew that one would look perfect in my bedroom. I headed to Otherland’s website and fell in love with their Beach Club collection: Matchpoint (cut grass, tennis balls + cucumber), Freshwater Pearl (sea crystal, salt water + crushed shells) and Stone Fruit (beach plum, brown sugar + peach skin). The hardest part was deciding on a scent, but I ended up choosing Freshwater Pearl since it fit best with being at the beach. The 8oz candleRead More →

What I Loved in July 2020

A collection of things I loved in July, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. A couple of months ago I tried these plant-based Dream Pops and instantly became hooked. They come in flavors like vanilla matcha (my favorite), chocolate, berry, coconut latte, and mango rosemary. Not only are they refreshing on a scorching summer day, but each pop is only 100 calories and they’re vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free. Last summer I fell in love with Eyeko Beach vegan waterproof mascara for a few reasons. First, it keeps my lashes curled. Second, it doesn’t weigh them down and third, it doesn’tRead More →

What I Loved in June 2020

A collection of things I loved in June, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. Last year I went back to the town that I grew up going to every summer, and it was as if my family and I never left. Our beach vacation to the Connecticut shore was nothing short of incredible and I loved being able to share this unique place with Billy. A couple of weeks ago I started planning this year’s trip. After being locked indoors for what seems like forever, I can’t wait to get away. This year will be different though. My family justRead More →

What I Loved in May 2020

A collection of things I loved in May, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. I have an enormous sweet tooth so I decided to satisfy it by trying Japanese “Dagashi” candy. I ordered a box that came with around 30 pieces from a company called Tonosama. I knew ahead of time that the ingredients would be listed in Japanese so in order to figure out what I would be eating I used the Google translate app on my iPhone. Most of the candy and snacks were tasty but I did end up giving some of the more “exotic” ones away.Read More →

What I Loved in April

A collection of things I loved in April, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. A few weeks ago I tried placing an order from my favorite vegan restaurant, Café Gratitude. Sadly, I learned that all of their locations are currently closed because of COVID-19. The following day I saw an ad for Territory Foods on my Facebook feed and it showed that they were collaborating with Café Gratitude. Their website featured dishes similar to my favorites (“Bueno” Mexican Bowl, “Fortified” Tempeh Grain Bowl, “Powerful” Coconut Yogurt with Amazonian Superfood Granola, and their “Cheesy” Macaroni) which are pre-made and ready inRead More →

What I Loved in March 2020

A collection of things I loved in March, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. Since January I’ve been following the COVID-19 outbreak, and I knew it was only a matter of time until it reached the United States. Even though I was aware at some point this would happen, never in a million years could I have mentally prepared for what is going on. On Wednesday, March 11th, it seemed like the world slowed down, leading to a nightmarish reality. Since then, we’ve officially hit the pause button on life, and it’s a scary and surreal experience. Two weeks agoRead More →

What I Loved in February 2020

A collection of things I loved in February, from beauty products and fashion to entertainment and everything in between. For Valentine’s Day and our anniversary, Billy and I usually enjoy a cake from Whole Foods or pastries from Bottega Louie. This year was different because in November Billy became a vegan. I wanted to find something sweet that we both could indulge in so I searched for “the best vegan cookies”. One name kept coming up, The Naughty Cookie and it had amazing reviews. There were a few types to choose from: chocolate chip, triple chocolate chunk, peanut butter chocolate chip, s’mores, or the samplerRead More →
